String Art are a great way to decorate your home. Looks sophisticated and classy, String Art gives a premium vibe to your home. This FREE tutorial will teach you how to make String Art at your home in JUST 5 easy steps.
String Art is done by tying colored threads around pins in a pre-defined pattern. Cheap, simple and decorative for Creative people of all ages. You can tie the threads in a symmetrical pattern or in a haphazard pattern based on the look that you want to create.
Materials Required: Just 3 Things:
- Thread. Use Thin Embroidery threads for fine look OR use thicker threads for a rugged and intriguing look.
- Nails. Use board Pins with heads or small nails with a head. Just ensure that the head is large enough to prevent the Threads from slipping out. You can get this from any hardware stores.
- Wood or Cardboard or Thick Rubber Surface. This is where you will stick the pins. Use something which is a bit strong so that the pins can be held firmly.
HOW TO MAKE:
Step 1: Chose a design.
Step 2: Trace out the design on paper. Then place the design paper on the Surface (Wood or Board).
Step 3: Pin the Nails on the edges of the design.
Step 4: Remove the paper completely to reveal the surface with the Nails. Tie one end of the thread to one Nail and start wrapping the thread as shown below:
Step 5: Continue wrapping the thread around the pins till the design is ready. Use multiple color threads to get a colorful look.
